“Kidmia” means priority in Amharic, the official language of Ethiopia. Our priority is to facilitate lasting change in the lives of orphaned and vulnerable children in rural Ethiopia. To do this, Kidmia provides holistic care and shelter to children in need, while being the catalyst for their adoption into local gospel-loving families. We are driven by a passion for Jesus Christ and a desire to see the people of Ethiopia changed by His grace.

Kidmia envisions an 8-step process toward bringing hope and change to orphans and families in Ethiopia.

1. √ Pray

2. √ Evaluate and select a location

3. √ Build the transitional children’s center

4. √ Open the doors…The center becomes a sanctuary for the fatherless

5. √ In partnership with local churches, teach the biblical model of adoption as it pertains to the gospel

6.  Develop programs and services to assist families in becoming self-sufficient

7.  In partnership with local churches, place kids in gospel-loving forever families

8.  Assist these families during a two-year transition period

Repeat these same steps in every town or village in Ethiopia that God allows.
